第九届香樟经济学英文论坛将于9月23日在辽宁大学举办，诚邀广大经济学者投稿。本届Seminar由辽宁大学李安民经济研究院主办，香樟经济学术圈和《Digital Economy and Sustainable Development（DESD，数字经济和可持续发展）》期刊编辑部协办。本次论坛将邀请国内外知名中青年学者、核心期刊编辑进行论文点评，并将在《Digital Economy and Sustainable Development》杂志出版特刊，期待全国各地经济学者积极参与讨论。
The9th Camphor Economist Circle (CEC) English Workshop will be held in in Liaoning University (LNU) on September 23th (Saturday), 2023, hosted by Li Anmin Institute of Economic Research (LIER) at Liaoning University, Camphor Economist Circle and Digital Economy and Sustainable Development. The conference will invite well-known experts at home and abroad, young and middle-aged scholars, and editors of core journals to comment on your papers, and publish a special issue on Digital Economy and Sustainable Development journal. We hope economists from all over the country can actively participate in the discussion.
As data resources become the key economic element in the new era of technological and industrial transformation, our world gradually moves from an agricultural and industrial economy to a digital economy. It drives profound changes in production, consumption, and governance, which further redistributes resources across the world, reshapes economic structures, and changes the pattern of global competition. Meanwhile, green, sustainable, inclusive growth, and high-quality development also become the common goals of nations. Many new research and practical questions are brought up when the two fields interact. Thus, the theme of this year is "Digital Economy and Sustainable Development". We hope it will create a leading communication platform for academia and practitioners on digital economy and high-quality development. And Help readers broaden and deepen their understanding of the role played by digital economy in the applications, policies, and practices in high-quality development.
Research topics
We welcome both theoretical and empirical research papers related but not limited to the following topics:
1. Topics related to digital economy
2. Sustainable development
3. Machine learning and economics
Time
It is planned on September 23, online or offline participation will be flexibly adjusted according to the specific situation. Please pay more attention to Li Anmin Institute of Economic Research website.
Paper Review
This workshop is only accepted in English, and about 30 papers are selected according to the topic classification (the final submission is determined according to the number of contributions) for communication. The final list of selected papers will be published by September 15,2023.
There is no registration fee. We will provide meals for all presenters, and the participants should be responsible for their transportation and accommodation expenses.Welcome to contribute and participate the workshop.
Submission
Please submit the full paper to desd@lnu.edu.cn before 1 September, 2023 (CST - China Standard Time). In your email, please use “The CEC Workshop at LNU-LIER+presenter name” as the title, and please indicate whether you could participate the workshop in person upon acceptance. The attached manuscript document should be named by “presenter name + the title of your paper”. In the first page of manuscript, please list all the authors and the contacting information (name, working place, duty and professional title, phone number, e-mail and so on). All manuscripts must be in English, original, and must not be previously published.
The follow-up workshop organization and the selection of Digital Economy and Sustainable Development will be published on the website of Li Anmin Institute of Economic Research.
